埼玉県出身。
木工職人の祖父 齊藤久山に憧れ、ものづくりの道を志す。
結城紬の織り子を４年間勤め、地機での製織を習得する。
愛媛県野村シルク博物館で繭からの絹糸作り、天然染料による染色、高機による製織など、絹織物の一連の制作工程を２年かけて学ぶ。
龍村美術織物でジャガード織機による紋織の手織り職人として６年間勤める。この間、丹後藤織り保存会主催の藤織り講習会を受講し、30期保存会員となる。
2018年、藤織り保存会員として通っていた上世屋に移住し、藤織り工房 ののの としての活動を始める。
Born in Saitama prefecture.
Inspired by her grandfather, Kyuzan Saito, she proceeds her path to become a craftsman.
Mayumi worked as a weaver of Yuki Tsumugi for 4 years while learning to weave with 'jibata' loom, one of the most primitive form of Japanese loom.
At the Nomura Silk Museum in Ehime Prefecture, Mayumi spend two years learning about a series of silk fabric production processes, such as making silk threads from cocoons, dyeing with natural dyes, and weaving with high-end machines.
Mayumi spent 6 years as a hand-weaver with a jacquard loom at Tatsumura Art Textile. During this time, she attended a Fuji-ori class sponsored by the Tango Fuji-ori Preservation Society and became the 30th graduating member.
In 2018, Mayumi moved to Kamiseya as a member of the Fuji-ori Preservation, and founded her practice, FUJI-ORI STUDIO NONONO.
